In the summer of 1835, there was a battle between the Mexicans and the Texans. The battle was just because of a cannon that the Mexican army wanted. The Mexican authorites sent a force of 100 men to take back the cannon. But the good news was the Texans won the fight and still had the cannon. -

Fifty-four delegates of the Convention of 1836 began meeting on March 2, 1836 at the town of Washington-on-the-Brazos. The Convention of 1836 was for the founding for Texas independence. Each and everyone of the delgates were to sign it. -

The battle of San Jancinto turned out to be the shortest battle of the Texas Revolution. The battle was between Santa Anna's army and Gen. Sam Houston's army. But luckily the Texan army won the fight. With the shortest time of 18 minutes. It was a bloody battle. Plus the Texan army had successfully captured Santa Anna. -
Goliad Massacre
Col. James Fannin army were attacked by Gen. Urrea. Fannin knew he would lose so he signed the paper to surrender. Urrea then ordered his troops to take the prisoners and Fannin to a presidor called La Bahia. Urrea sent the a message asking Santa Anna what to do with the prisoners. He told him to execute them. Urrea Sent his soldiers to take the prisoners to the field and to shoot them. But some had escaped the massacre. -
Santa Anna Burns Harrisburg
In April 18,1836 after the Goliad Massacre, Santa Anna's army was forced to burn down a town called Harrisburg.Almost everyone there were killed and some escaped. The last rowboat with Texan President David Burnet had just pulled into the water when the Mexicans showed up behind them. They were in range even for cavalry carbines. Col. Almonte refused to give permission to fire because women were in the boat. -
Vince's Bayou Bridge is Destroyed
Texas spy "Deaf" Smith destroyed Vince's Bridge Vince's Bayou on April 21, 1836 preventing Santa Anna's escape and making possible his capture April 22, 1836. If they did'nt destroy the bridge they would'nt have enough space to escape because the bridge was in thier way. -
Santa Anna Signs the Treaties of Velasco
When the battle of San Jancinto was done in 18 minutes, Santa Anna was captured and sent to the Texans camp. During that moment, Santa Anna was agreed to sign the Treaties of Velasco to Texas or the Texans would kill Santa Anna.
