    In 1519 Cortes sailed from Spanish Cuba to the eastern Gulf of Mexico. He soon learned of the Aztecs, he wanted there power and riches. Most of the Indian tribes beloved they were gods so they were treated very well. The Aztecs had many enemy's so they teamed up and took over the Aztecs.
