Fray Marcoss led an expedition to find a golden city. Later he had supposible seen it in the distance. -

He had gone on an expedition to find the golden city that Fray Marcos had seen. To his disapointment it ended up being mud huts. They later found Turk who told them that there is a man who eats on plates made of gold but that was also a myth. -

After the death of Hernan de Soto, Moscoso led the rest of his expedition to the Brazos River and then to back to the Mississippi River and then sailed to Mexico. -

Spain establishes the first permanent European settlement in Texas. -
Rene Roberto Cavelier Siuer de la Salle
He led the first european expedition from the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico, thus claiming it to France. He named this area Louisana. He returned to France and got and army to colonize the mouth of the Mississippi. A storm set him off course. -
