    Battle of Galvenston

    After Union Victory in capturing Port Galveston, the Confederates would later come back with troops led by Thomas Green and William R. Scurry. They also would show up with ships to take back the major port. After intense fighting and the sinking of Unoin General Renshaw's flagship, the Confederates took back the port.
  • Battle of Sabine Pass

    William B. Franklin led a Union flotilla and troops to take Sabine Pass and land in Texas. This pass was an important economic route to the Gulf of Mexico that was guarded by only 47 troops in a fort. But the CSA troops led by Dick Dowling were able to defeat the 4,000 Union troops and prevented a landing on the pass. This was not only just a military victory for the Confederacy but a massive propaganda win which would harden the war support from the people.

    Battle of Palmito Ranch

    Theodore James Barret would lead Union troops on the last battle of the Civil War to take important Confederate camps. Though Confederate troops in Texas had not gotten word of the Confederate surrender they were still in arms. John Salmon "Rip" Ford defended against the Union and chased them off but would later surrender his troops marking the end of the Civil War.
