    Ponce de Leon lands on Florida
    Ponce de Leon, the Spanish expolorer, lands in what is now Florida. He was in search for the fountain of youth, which was believed to make someone younger by drinking the water. He never found it because it did not exist. Who would've thought?

    The Chesapeake was the first succesful English colony. It started in Jamestown, VA. They found tobbaco as a crop in which they could've made profit from, so they made many plantations of the crop in Chesapeake Bay.

    Along the Hudson River is where the dutch made their settlements. They made their settlements in what is now New York. They did not keep the land however, because the English came, and named that place New York.
