1972 Munich Olympics Massacre
The "Munich Massacre" took place at the Olympic Games in Munich,Germany on September 5-6,1972. Members of the Palestinian terror organization, "Black September" entered the building in the Olympic Village where the Israeli athletes were being housed and took 9 hostage around 4:30 am. Their demands? "Simple": release 234 prisoners from Israel, and 9 from German prisons. In the end, there had been 17 deaths. -

The hostage crisis lasted for 444 days, and was in response to substantial US support of the Shah and in general, of Iran... Beirut Marine Barracks Bombing
On October 23, 1983, a US Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon a suicide bomber uses a truck to drive a bomb into the barracks. The resulting explosions kills 241 US-Service Personnel, 220 Marines, and 21 other service personnel. The attack was traced to be perpetrated by Hezbollah. -
1993 WTC Bombing
On February 26,1993, a small band of terrorists detonated a bomb inside the parking garage, underneath the World Trade Center. The blast left a 60-ft crater and several floors collapsed and the towers suffered around $500,000,000 of damages. In total, 2 were killed and around 1,000 were injured. -
Oklahoma City Bombing
On Aril 19, 1995, an ex-U.S.Army soldier and a security guard by the name of Timothy McVeigh parked a moving truck with a powerful bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City,Oklahoma. At 9:02 a.m., the bomb was detonated, flattening most of the building and around 300 buildings in the area. There were 168 casualties (19 kids) and several hundred injured. -
9/11
A serious of (4) coordinated attacks, when two planes hit the World Trade Center, one the Pentagon, and another intended for the White House but crashed in a field in Shanksville,Pennsylvania. Resulted in around 3,000 dead and more than 6,000 wounded. Also, led to the eventual invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as the larger "War on Terror". -
Beslan School Hostage Crisis
The Beslan School Hostage Crisis began in 2004 when a group of around 30 Chechen Militiants entered 'School # 1' in Beslan (Northern-Osettia-Alania, Russian Federation), and took 1,100 people hostage (777 children). The crisis began on 9/1/2004, and lasted until 9/4 (3 days). The Militiants were sent by a Chechen Warlord to force the UN and Russia to recognize Chechnya as an indipendent nation, and also for both to withdraw forces from Chechnya as well. In the end, around 385 were dead. -
7/7/2005 London Bombings
On 7/7/2005, (4) Terrorists detonated (4) bombs, { 3 aboard trains in London Underground, and one in a double-decker bus}, in a coordinated suicide attack Including the four bombers, 56 civilians were killed, and about 700 were injured. The attacks were intended to target the "general public", using the morning transportation system (buses,trains,etc...). -
2008 Mumbai Attacks
Series of (12) coordinated shootings and bombings, resulting in the deaths of 164 people and wounding at least 308. The attack was carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terrorist organization. India accused Pakistan of aiding the group in carrying out the attacks. -
