Theo Roosevelt was nominated by the Progressive Party to hopefully get President Taft out of office. The Bull Moose Party is known for the elections of U.S. Senators, woman suffrage, reduction of the tariff, and many social reforms. However in 1912, just before giving a speech, Roosevelt was shot and hospitalized.
