Facebook was founded in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg. The social media platform was originally created for students at Harvard to communicate with one another. The platform was opened to the public in 2006 and has become one of the largest social media platforms since. It has allowed people to communicate with family members in other countries and stay in touch with friends. -
Apple iPhone
On June 29, 2007 Apple launches its first iPhone. The iPhone was a combination of the iPod, a mobile phone, and a web browser. It could download applications and included GPS navigation as well as a high-definition camera. The first iPhone revolutionized the world by allowing one to access the web through one's phone. -
Apple App Store
The Apple App Store was invented just a year after the iPhone was released. It paved the way for developers to get their software into the hands of consumers. The invention of the Apple App Store led to other app stores such as Android Market and Google Play Store. App stores changed the way we use our phones now, we are able to personalize them to our liking with all the apps availbale to us.
