At Stanford University, students release the PDP-11-based machine Galaxy Game called a clone of Spacewar!, one of the earliest video games, developed in 1962. -

with loose parts and pieces made arcade games with joysticks and buttons were created by Atari that were taken by storm. the first game being Pong then down the line pac-man, donkey kong, and many more. -

the Magnavox Odyssey creation
dots and dials were the first game ever playable on TV. The straight line and black and white were all the best the system could generate. this was our first tv video game. -

Nintendo vs Sega
Nintendo and Sega were the big dogs of the third generation. Sega putting their new16 bit mega drive console against the Nintendo 8-bit beast of a console. this was when free roaming in games begun and bright fun colors in the games would change with movement. -

going wireless
x-box had come out with a wireless controller for their gaming system this is where a lot of us can remember when wireless controllers, digital game downloads, motion control, and (unless you had a Wii) high-definition graphics started coming into our lives. This was the start of the Bluetooth and quick download era that we are now in.
