  • The Atari 2600 [1977 - 1980s]

    The Atari was not popular due to the games being simple and not very engaging; but in 1980 they created a game called Space Invaders which launched the Atari gaming system into millions of sales. The Atari revolutionized the gaming industry and made lifestyle now of days have video games everywhere, apart of a lot of peoples everyday life. The inventors or people who designed the gaming console where Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney.

  • Release of Walkman's [1980]

    Walkman's were invented in the 1980s,created by Sony corp. they were portable players that allowed you to play music wherever, it's a smaller version of a cassette player. The headphones weren't crazy large or a large piece of plastic in your ear; samarium-cobalt magnets were needed to make the Walkman's possible. This invention has affected todays life because it was the transition from stationary music, to personal on the go music.

  • Camcorders [1983]

    Sony released the first consumer camcorder in 1983. It replaced 8mm camera, with lots of film to place into the camera just to record. It has led to portable and digital recordings and photos.

  • Release of CDs [1983]

    The CD came out in 1983 invented by James T. Russell. The CD was revolutionary especially for music because old ways of playing music always involved a hissing sound but the CD had no hissing sound. CDs also had longer lifespans than anything before. The CD now of days doesn't affect our lives since everything is changing into wireless, blue tooth, etc.

  • Release of the GUI to personal Computers [1984]

    GUI [Graphical User Interface] was released in 1984, Apple released the Macintosh computer with its unbelievable GUI. The GUI allowed people to look and select, versus the command console way where you had to know how to navigate the machine / OS.
