The Xbox 360 was released November 22 of 2005 by Microsoft. It was the second Xbox in the series following the very successful original Xbox. The updated graphics along with the ability to download games online made this console very successful. Microsoft went on to sell over 84 million of them worldwide. This console brought tons of joy to many customers over the years and will forever be remembered by its loyal customers. -
iPhone
The first ever iPhone was released on June 29th, 2007 by Steve Jobs. This revolutionary piece of tech made it so the average person could rely on their iPhone for most tasks. People loved the very user friendly/easy to use interface and sleek design. It took all the advantages from other products of Apple's such as their iPods and put it into a phone. -
Tesla's Autonomous Vehicle Feature
Although some other companies at the time were working on creating a fully autonomous car, Elon Musk really set the bar. With the help of his team at Tesla they were able to create a hardware suite that made the Tesla cars able to drive themselves. The first Tesla's with the feature were in 2015. Although it was only limited to highways in the beginning and was a bit buggy, it is now one of the most trusted and safe fully autonomous vehicles on the market. -
Neuralink
Neuralink was founded in July of 2016 by Elon Musk and Max Hodak. The idea of this technology is to help people with disabilities via an implantable piece of technology that goes on your brain and is able to stimulate certain parts to fix problems. Although this was the initial idea many people can see this possibly being the first step towards computer immigration with humans. This impressive technology is still in its testing period but has been recently shown successful during tests on pigs. -
Boston Dynamics, Spot Robot Dog
Boston Dynamics recently released Spot, their robot dog, for public purchase on June 16, 2020. Spot has been known to help on construction job sites and around offices. More recently during these times of COVID-19, Spot has been programmed by many to do critical patient intakes at hospitals as well as delivering supplies such as medicine to quarantined facilities. Although we may not see Spot out there in our daily lives(due to the high price tag) he sure is making a difference in our world.
