Trek Technology claimed the invention of the USB Thumb Drive. Was later refered to as Flash drive by other companies. The USB Thumb Drive is used for data storage and backing up files. Their storage capacity started at 8MB to 32 MB. Today they range from 256 GB to 2 TB of storage. -
First 64-bit Itanium CPU was released
Intel Has been working on a 64-bit processor since 1991, however their first systems with the CPU released in 2001. Once they were released Intel focused on 32-bit processors since they were in more demand at the time. -
Blu-Ray Optical Disc
Was created by the Blu-ray Disc Assosiation in 2003 and was able to store high definition videos at 1080p resolution. The purpose was to be the successor of the DVD which was only able to produce 480p resolution. -
Invention of the Nintendo Wii
