Created by James Gosling, a Canadian computer scientist. Java has allowed even the most common person with a very basic understanding of computing systems to create, navigate, and develop tools for computers and the internet. -
USB (Universal Serial Bus)
USB was developed by multiple individuals and companies including Ajay Bhatt, Bala Cadambi, and Jeff Ravencraft among others. The USB allows information to be extracted and transferred through physical space, instead of the WWW. This sped up the development of computing systems and information transfer. -
Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 Standard)
Developed by a team of engineers and scientists at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Wifi has allowed individuals, companies, and communities to communicate and connect in an unprecedented manner. -
Google Search (The Search Engine)
Developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two Ph.D. students at Stanford University. The PageRank algorithm, aka the foundation of Google Search, allows society to navigate the WWW and access different pages and sites.
