The 'Universal Serial Bus' we call a USB drive today, was patented in the year 1999, by "M-Systems". It is one of the most preferred methods of storage. Since it is easy to rely on if your computer "crashes". It is also compact, and can be used in televisions, laptops, etc. -
iPod (Apple)
Apple iPods also entered the scene in 2002. Consumers gained the ability to listen to countless albums, all in a little device the size of a wallet. Numerous people were involved in the creation of the iPod, but of course, Steve Jobs is the most well known contributor. -
BLACKBERRY CELLPHONE
Blackberry had already released pagers in the 1990s, but in 2002 they began releasing mobile phones. They were a staple of the early 2000s. It enabled email and web browsing on mobile phones, which is now commonplace. -
FITBIT
The popular fitness tracker emerged at the end of the 2000s. Now technology that was associated with idleness was assisting in measuring physical activity. Created by James Park and Eric Friedman created the smartwatch. -
SIDEKICK (BY T-MOBILE)
The stylish sidekick was one of the final 'hurrah's' of keyboards on cellphones. T-Mobile made the device in 2002, but discontinued service to it in 2011. I wanted to put it at the end of the list, just to acknowledge that it was laid to rest at the end of the decade.
