  • Assassination Attempt on President Reagan

    A mentally unstable man called John Hinckley attempted to shoot and kill President Ronald Reagan. Reagan survived and the public majorly supported him.
  • Operation Urgent Fury

    The Grenada invasion consisted of U.S. Marines that President Reagan had sent. The Marines overthrew the Grenadian government in less than a week.
  • President Reagan against the Berlin Wall

    The Berlin Wall, built on August 13, 1961, was a barrier placed to separate West and East Berlin during the separation of Europe in the Iron Curtain. On June 12, 1987 President Ronald Reagan made a speech directed to Gorbachev the leader of the Soviet Union. The speech was on how the Berlin Wall should be torn down. The famous line of "Tear down this wall!" came from the same speech.
  • Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty

    President Reagan and Soviet leader Gorbachev were able to create a better relationship between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. This made it possible for the Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty. This treaty greatly reduced the nuclear arsenal of both countries.
  • The End of the Soviet Union

    When the Soviet leader. Gorbachev, resigned the Soviet Union ended. After many years of losing power and having lost counties to the union it ended with a new Russian Federation being formed.
  • Bombing of the World Trade Center

    Al-Qaeda was responsible of the bombing of the World Trade Center. Al-Qaeda was a group of Islamic militants led by Osama bin Laden. Al-Qaeda would later spread throughout the world and create much conflict.
  • Attack on Iraq

    More than two hundred missiles were fired from U.S. Navy Warships and the Air Force bombs all targeted suspected chemical weapon storage facilities, command centers, and missile batteries. This lasted for four days.
  • The Attack of September 11

    Nineteen Al-Qaeda terrorists organized a major attack using passenger planes. One plane crashed into North Tower of the World Trade Center and another crashed into South Tower. Yet another plane crashed into the Pentagon. Finally the last plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania, because passengers heard news of the previous attacks and intervened. In two hours 3,000 Americans had died
