    Before the invention of the Sony CD player, cassette tapes where the big rage. While cassette tapes took up more space, and had to be physically rewound. The CD player that played CD's a smaller, light weight, better sound producing product.
  • Camcorder

    Camcorder
    Made by Sony, the camcorder made capturing family moments and moves that much easier. Rather then having to capture home movies on reels, the camcorder was able to make home moves easy to watch on a VHS.
  • Apple MacIntosh

    Apple MacIntosh
    Apple changes the technological world when they came out with the Apple Macintosh as a home personal computer. Unlike other computer this was made for the every day person and was set at a price point that many more could afford. Apple was the first to market followed quickly by Microsoft window 1. This would be the first of many computer that would entire homes around the world.
  • Disposable Camera

    Disposable Camera
    Thanks to Alfred D. Weir, rather then having a camera that you has to buy film for then take that film out and turn in the film to be processed into photos. You were now able to buy an all in one affordable plastic camera that you didn't have to mess with the film. Rather you would include the camera in the print order envelope and only get photos back. This was very helpful for many reasons such as forgetting a camera, fear of losing a camera because of cost and ease of Photo processing.
  • Nintendo Gameboy

    Nintendo Gameboy
    Nintendo took gaming on the go with the Gameboy. The Nintendo game boy allowed gamers to play their favorite games anywhere they please. All you needed to do was change out the gaming cartridge and you were able to play a variety of games. You could say this become the new distraction on long car rides, waiting for the bus and well any down time one might have. This opened the market for hand held portable gaming.
