    I realize that e-mail messages had been sent for almost two decades by this point but they were almost exclusively sent by military organizations and computer science engineers.     World Wide Web is Born
    Before 1990, the internet wasn't incredibly user friendly. Tim Berners-Lee sought to create a system that could be extremely user friendly. His creation was the world wide web and it is the form of the internet that we still use today utilizing technology like HTTP, URL's, and HTML.     Amazon is Created
    Amazon has changed the way people purchase goods forever and its all about efficiency. People are able to sit at home and purchase almost anything and have it arrive at their home in, if they are Prime customers, two days. Amazon also hosts a large number of the worlds largest websites on their servers. Organizations like Adobe, Comcast, Netflix, Spotify and even NASA use Amazon.     Google is Created
    Google has fundamentally changed how we use the internet. Its search engine uses provided a new and more efficient search protocol to help users find exactly what they needed. Google has evolved into one of the largest tech companies in the world and has massively popular products like Andrioid, YouTube, and Nest.     The internet was an amazing technological advance but in order to reach its potential it had to cut the cord. Wi-Fi had been around before 1999 but it wasn't until then that it became popular for commercial and residential use when Apple incorporated it into their laptops.     Facebook is one of the most revolutionary products on the market today and a true trendsetter in modern technology. It became one of the first ways to communicate with other people across the world in a social setting. Facebook allows users to keep up with old classmates and family members no matter where they happen to be.     YouTube is a video service that allows users to upload their videos quickly, easily, and from anywhere. Creating and uploading videos to a website used to be a difficult and time consuming process. YouTube erased the hassle and this ease of use allowed more people to upload more videos of more subjects. YouTube is useful to education because of its broad subject database.     iPhone
    Up until as this time, the internet was a tool that was utilized at home, office, or with a bulky laptop. When the iPhone was created, the internet shrunk down to pocket sized tool and its uses are almost limitless.
