    Gameboy advance
    – I was given a game boy advance for Christmas. Up until this point I had only been able to play games on the computer, browser-based flash games mainly, so this was really a big step up. I played a ton of Pokémon fire red version on the Gameboy, and I think it really was the gateway for my interest in video games.

    Playstation
    – Got gifted a PlayStation for Christmas. At this point I had been playing games on the game boy still and getting the PlayStation open me up to another world of video games. I would pretty much be on it every day after school.

    PC gaming
    – I moved away from console gaming and built my first pc. I played a bunch of league of legends at this point. Skyrim would release in 2011 and I would play that into the ground too. My dad still that the pc to today actually. Playing video games allowed me to interact with technology a lot, both hardware and software, starting with the game boy and until I built my own pc.

    iphone club
    – got my very first Iphone. Up until this point I had been using an android, I think a galaxy series model, but forgot all about that when I upgraded to the newest iphone 6, newest at the time. I wasn’t a stranger to smartphones but there is a social precedent around iPhone so I felt apart of the club.

    Run on computers
    – I would finally turn my interest of computers, and video games into a more valuable hobby. I started to learn python as a coding language, learning aspects of front-end web development using it. This pretty much would have me glued to my computer, from playing video games and now doing coding.
