    Although technically created in 90s by Jaap Haartsen, Bluetooth did not appear on the first phones and desktops until the year 2000. It was used in the first car in 2001 and became very widespread by 2004. Bluetooth has revolutionized the way we use wireless technologies and is implemented into almost every device that comes out today.

    Nintendo Gamecube
    In 2001 the Nintendo GameCube was released. It is often overshadowed by its successor the Wii but it was still a piece of technology history. It's controller design was very popular and modern controllers still take inspiration from it. It also had the first Animal Crossing game on it and that is rather revolutionary.

    In 2004, Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes, founded what would become and still is the largest social media platform ever. To this day nearly 3 billion people use Facebook at least once a month.

    In February of 2005, YouTube was released, invented by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. It made it very easy for people for upload and watch videos still does the same today. It is the second most visited website after google.

    The first iPhone came out in 2007 and was a huge breakthrough for mobile technology and internet communication with its smaller design and touch controls. Many of us have iPhones today and they continue to bring new quality of life changes for everyday use.
