    The Mayflower Compact was signed to establish a set of rules for the New World. This was created by the English settlers traveling overseas on the Mayflower.

    This was a war that was sparked by France feeling threatened by the overpowering Habsburg Empire. It was a religious war as they took the side of the Protestants. They had finally become independent from Spain in 1648.

    The Pequot War was a war fought in 1635-1637. It was a battle between the Pequot people and English Settlers. The people of Pequot had put out all forces of economics, military forces, and political forces to have control over Connecticut.

    King Philip's War devastated Native Americans of Southern New England. They struck against Narragansett. 300 Native Americans died between Narragansett and Wampanoag. Native Americans went through a starving period. This war ended with King Philip's head displayed on a pole in Plymouth

    This event was about who would possess the Spanish Empire after Charles II was killed who had no children. It was a decision between the House of Bourbon or House of Habsburg.

    St. Petersburg was founded by Peter the Great who took over the surrounding land during a war with Sweden. This was major to Russia because they were now powerful in Europe; politically, culturally, and ruling over the land.

    This was a war that was fought between British settlers from North Carolina Province and Yamasee. The Yamasee were a confederation of Native Americans in Georgia, which is adjacent to the battle grounds of South Carolina. The trading practices by the English were unfair to the Yamasees. It ended with the Yamasees killed a majority of South Carolina people.

    America and Britain were at war for roughly 2 years after the British imposed stricter trading on the 13 Colonies of America. This revealed powerful social, political, and military forces. This revolution began in 1765.

    The Boston Massacre was when shots were fired in Boston while the British were patrolling the streets. John Adams represented the soldiers in court.

    This was a set of bills passed to Congress. It was intended to keep the Union together, but it was only temporary as it would become controversial. It amended the Fugitive slave act, abolishing slave trade in Washington D.C.
