This was very innovative in the way that the NBA could get a bigger fan base by having people be able to watch them. Before this, it was just radio and finding out what happened via newspapers. -
Shot clock
The shot clock was very important to expand the game's desire for fans as before it was a very low-scoring game and a whole lot of teams holding the ball for a long time. So now they have to speed up play which leads to more action on the court. -
Three pointer
In 1967, the three-point shot was introduced into International basketball by FIBA. The three-point shot was adopted by the NBA in 1977. This would lead to the game-changing forever since teams could cut leads way faster now and make the game more exciting. -
Basketball Shoes
until 1982 converse was by far the top-selling basketball shoe for the NBA. Then Nike came out with AIR force 1 which then became the top with their air-filled soles, which were the original pumped-up kicks. which made them original. Nike to adapt and then forever changed the style of basketball shoes and how they should feel and they knew it culd make them a lot of money. -

Breakaway rims are important for basketball since they would not stop the play of basketball since the rims could snap off. -
Replay system
The replay system was very needed as people could not easily see if a referee missed a call the NBA implemented this a year after a buzzer beater happened which they counted but was clearly after the time expired. Then in 2008 refs could review anything they were questioning toward the end of the game. -
