The main reason for the war was because the colonists ad the French both wanted a certain area that could be used as a trade route. -

The participants were the French and the British. The Huron Indians helped the French while the Iroquois Indians helped the British. Most Indians sided with French because the liked them more. -

Ohio River Valley
Both the French and the colonies wanted the Ohio River Valley which was currently owned by Indians. The Indians decide to let the colonists build a fort near the river and the french got angry. -
Fort Duquesne and George Washington's role
George Washington led 300 Virginians to Fort Duquesne and forced the French to abandon the site. Later, as expected, the French retaliated and attacked the Virginians until Washington signed a retreat and left for a year. -
The Tides turn and Pitt's role
Pitt took over wartime operations and recruited more younger men which turned the side of the war militarily. Then they took Loiusberg which turned the tide entirely -
Treaty of Paris and Colonial Reaction
The Treaty of Paris was harsh on the French, taking all of their land. The war was expensive so England taxes the colonies more and more which makes them angry and without the need of the British military the colonists want freedom fromnthe British.
