    The death of Franz Ferdinand.
    The death of Franz and his wife caused the war to begin in Europe.
    His death occurred in the summer of 1914 in Bosnia, Sarajevo. He was warned that there was some terrorist activity going on which the black hand had participated in. He was attacked twice on the way to the palace and returning home.

    Woodrow Wilson proclaims Neutrality on August 4, 1914.
    This opened a chance for America to make money by supplying both sides with ammunition and rations because both countries didn't have the resources to provide for themselves. They were trying to starve each other. Americans would ship their goods in ships.

    Telegram Lead America To War.
    The Zimmermann telegram was sent to the German ambassador in Mexico. By the secretary of Germany, Arthur Z. Instructing that they were willing to help them gain back territory in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona. Right after Wilson got the intercepted telegram three more ships were sunken by Germany.     "The second battle in Marne lasted from July 15 to, August 6, 1918."
    Allies gathered information regarding the Germans counteroffensive which leads them to break their resistance. Germans lost 139,000 men in general. "The allied attack was the first in a series of sustained offensive that would bring the war to an end."
