If it werent for him, that first step wouldve never been able to influence others to create a bigger and more advanced air pump. -

Wilhelm Roentgen accidentely invented this when he was exploring the path of electrical rays. This has definetley benefited society because thanks to that invention, you can see if you maybe broke something or fractured something that isnt visibley obvious from the outside. In the past they had to cut you open to find issues like that, and usually they didnt even bother to. -
Polio Vaccine
Dr. Jonas Salk invented this miraculous way of preventing polio. It changed society greatly by preventing people from getting this horrible disease that attacks the nerve cells and sometimes the central nervous system that can cause paralysis and sometimes death. Thanks to him, polio is now very rare in the U.S and will hoppefully be eradicated worldwide in the very near future. -
