Security forces kill protesters
A southern city of Syria is sealed off after the security forces killed several protesters. The President sent his condolences to the families since he thinks his country is already immune to the demands for change. The people protested in at least five cities, including the capital. But only turned deadly in Daraa. -

Protests spread to Damascus
The people oof Syria took the streets in several cities, wanting freedom. There were reports that at least some 23 people were killed. Vioence in the country began when the Syrian government pledged to look into reforms. -
Syrian cabinet resigns
President Bashar al-Asaad removes all cabinet members in an effort to end the protests. It is said that the silencing of the President provoked anger in the Syrian citizens. Protests in this country have been running high around this time. -
Tanks fire on protesters
Syrian tanks were brought into the town of Banias on Saturday and opened fire on demonstrators as President Bashar al-Assad continued the violent assault on his opponents. This event left 30 people dead and caused a fear in the people. The next day, Syrian forces shot four protesting women, only adding to the fear. -
Syrian forces "made mistake"
The president of Syria, Bashar al-asaad, tells his people that the Syrian forces made a mistake during the uprising against the government. The government killed about 850 people in only two monhts. He blamed the police sayint that they were "poorly trained."
