This creates a rough work environment for Laura and her mom.

    While Willa is cleaning the mansions one day, she is assigned to clean her own home. She later discovers that her mom used to be a ballerina. Willa's mom was keeping this hidden from her, because it didn't show who she really was.

    While Willa and Angie have been spending a lot of time together, Angie's car repairing hobbies have influenced Willa to give it a try. Willa discovers that she is a natural, and enjoys playing around with cars.

    Meanwhile Willa and Laura have been living each others lives, no one was supposed to know or find out. After learning about Willa's passion for cars, Angie cracked the code and found out that the girls had switched lives. Angie had known that the real Laura couldn't stand the dirty smell of car engines, and found it odd when Willa, posing as Laura, suddenly loved cars. Although Angie knew about the girls' life swap, Willa and Laura did not know this and Angie did not tell anyone.

    Just as the two girls thought they had the life swap figured out, they get caught and everything changes. Not only do they get in big trouble, they also have to go back to their own regular lives which they do not want back. They have become so used to living each others' lives which is not their own.

    When Laura and Willa get caught for switching lives, Fenwick bans Laura for pretending to be Willa Pogue who was enrolled for the semester. Although Laura is banned from the Academy, her history teacher agrees to continue to help her with her school work and also the search for college scholarships.

    Laura and Willa return to their regular lives and find it extremely difficult. They had become so used to living as each other that they now feel out of place as themselves. Laura, Willa, and Angie all hang out together and become good friends.

    Laura reaches out to her crush, Caleb, from Fenwick after she gets banned. She tells him everything, including the life swap with Willa. Caleb is shocked but forgives Laura for lying to him before. Caleb and Laura decide to date, and get to know each other better.
