Slavery Deemed Illegal in North
The Missouri Compromise made slavery illegal north of the southern Missouri boundary. -
Education Prohibited
Slave education in Georgia is prohibited. No slave was to learn or attend school. This was reserved for the white children. The slaves should instead be working. -
Illegal Preaching
Alabama prohibits Blacks to preach. They should not be allowed to preform religious acts like this. -
Panic of 1837
Depression begins with the Panic of 1837. This was a time period in which the U.S. went into a financial crisis. This included debt and economic stress. Susan and her family were forced to put there education on a pause and sell almost all their belongings. -
Moved to NY
Susan moved to a farm in New York with her family. The land was on a place in which anti-slavery activists gathered. It was here that Susan also recieved an education. -

NWSA Founding
Anthony founded the National Women's Suffrage Association. This association worked to protect women's rights. Also, a major issue amongst the members was whether they should have support of the 15th Amendment. This granted suffrage for African Amercans. The groups final verdict was no, unless it included women as well. -

Susan's Standup
Susan B. Anthony stood up and illegally voted in the 1872 presidential election. She was eventually arrested and charged a $100 fine in which she never paid. Her spirit to live and fight for what she believed in shined. -
Biography is Published
Susan B. Anthony's biography is published. It was called "The Life and Works of Susan B. Anthony: A Story of the Evolution of the Status of Women." This ended up being three different volumes. It included letters and speeches of hers, and information about what she supported during her lifetime. -
Rochester Admits Women
Susan convinced the University of Rochester to allow women to attend.
This slip of paper reads “May their numbers increase until the daughters of the city shall be all thoroughly educated is the hope of yours sincerely,”. Susan B. Anthony said this after she convinced the University to accept women. -
Nurses Practice Act
Susan helped pass the Nurses Practice Act. This act which came up on October 21, 1902, was wanted to set a uniform for the practice of nursing. Anthony took a great part in this. She spoke about the difficulty of women to receive degrees and the struggle nurses go through to get to what they desire. -

Anthony meets with President Theodore Roosevelt. She met with him in Washington D.C. to discuss "submitting a suffrage amendment to Congress." -
Legendary Speech
Susan B. Anthony delivers her "Failure is Impossible" speech. This covered and was "an insight to all things she knew would inevitably come for women". It was her last public speech and delivered on her 86th birthday. Her motto was "Failure is Impossible". -
Death
Susan B. Anthony died from heart failure and pneumonia at the age of 86. She left the world behind changed from her presence. -
19th Ammendment Passed
The 19th Ammendment, which granted women's suffrage, was passed merely 14 years after her death. -
