Triple Alliance

Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy agreed to support each other if attacked by either France or Russia. It was renewed at five-yearly intervals. The formation of the Triple Entente in 1907 by Britain, France and Russia, reinforced the need for the alliance.

Hawaii

Hawaii was once its own country. However, it is now a territory of the United States. A movement of people in Hawaii wanted to break away from the US and become their own country again. They don't have the resources or the people to break away, but the US gave Hawaii autonomy and allowed Hawaii to gain the same benefits of the Native Americans, while still being apart of the United States.

The muslims in the North of Nigeria basically rule over the entire country. The South is mostly made up of Christians who for a long time have wanted to split and become their own country. There have been several wars but eventualy the Nigerian leader has decided to stop the blood shed and allow south nigeria to split.
