The Importance of a Customers Privacy
http://privacy.med.miami.edu/glossary/xd_ccpa.htm This act is to provide privacy to thecustomers of cable companies. I give this a B because it is important for the customer to be aware of what Cable companies are doing with their information, but people's information should already be kept secret in any professional and business type of situation.

The Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 was made to prevent people from being able to listen into your telephoned conversations. It is illegal for someone to hack into your private information wihtout you knowing unless it has to do with a criminal act. I give this act and A becuase the safety of peoples electronic conversations are extremely important and private and should be protected.
  • Children Are a Big Part of the Internet

The Children's Online Privacy Act was made to protect children's information from going on to the internet, and that if it was going to go on to the internet, there would have to ask for a parents consent first. This was mainly focused to marketing techniques that would target children to give out thier info. I give this a C+ because this act has good intensions, but many kids wouldn't obey the warning of needing a parents consent to move on.

The Wireless Communications Act enhanced the publics safety through the usage of 911, and made it a universal number for emergencies. I give this act an A+ because 911 has saved many lives and continues to save them today. 911 gives assurance and helps to protect the world.
  • Privacy of Employee's

A.B. 1844 prevents employers from asking their employee's for logins and passwords to their private social media accounts. i give this act an A because an employee's private account is filled with their own private affairs which is their own personal business that does not have to be shared with anyone if they don't want it to be.
  • Internet Tracking

    Internet Tracking

The Calif. Bus. & Prof. Code is to allow internet users to be aware of a websites privacy policy and if their being tracked across other sites as well. This act deserves a B- because it is important to know if your information on a computer is tracked, but it's not that much of a big deal, I think.

President Obama is creating a privacy protection that allows consumers to have more control over their information that they put out on the internet. This will also allow for more growth in the economy because of trusting consumers. I give this a B becuase the consumer needs to have all the power when it comes to their info, but who knows if that's actually possible.
