The 6 components of an effective argument are claim, data, warrant, backing, modality, and rebuttal released in Toulmin's book, "The uses of argument". Nordquist, R. (n.d.). The Toulmin model and system are essentially the same thing with a few differences in my opinion such as the system is a "how to" step by step. These steps start with making your claim, qualify your claim, reasons supporting your claim, explain assumptions that connect your claims and reasonings, back your claim, prepare for the counter argument, and finally come to your conclusion.

Toulmin argued that moral reasoning is based upon inductive reasoning. Not only that but both objective and subjective approach fail because of its properties and or it being an intellectual mistake because moral reasoning consist of something else.
