    Infancy 0-2 years

    Infancy 0-2 years
    P - They can hear, see, smell, taste and feel pain. They begin to use pencils to draw pictures on paper.
    I - Infants become startled by loud of sudden noises. They start to have a vocabulary of about 15 words.
    E - Infants cry whenever they get hungry or wet. They start to be clingy with their main carers.
    S - Infants sleep for most of the day and night. they are aware of their surroundings and people when they are awake. They start to play 'peek-a-boo'.

    Early Childhood 3-8 years

    Early Childhood 3-8 years
    P - They start to throw a ball and play with building blocks. They increase their development on their gross and fine motor skills.
    I - They improve on their Language skills, they learn to solve problems. They learn things from wrong to right.
    E - Learn to share, prevents them from becoming selfish and not able to communicate with other children.
    S - Make friends and start to become independent.

    Adolescence 9-18 years

    Adolescence 9-18 years
    P - Begin changes within the body, for example, puberty. Boys grow facial hair and girls grow bigger breasts.
    I - Have the ability to think about concepts and ideas. May stress about exams/high school.
    E - Need supportive people around them, for example, friends and family. May stress or become upset, hormones changing.
    S - Meeting new people and making new friends with going to college/working. Relationships with people tend to get closer.
