There was boxing, wrestling and early forms of polo and rugby. For toys they used toy guns, boomerangs, and throw sticks. They also played with hoops, slingshots and balls. They had dice made out of bones. -

Indusvalley sports and games
They made toy carts and animals out of clay. They also made bird whistlers and rattles out of terracotta. They had had a throw and chase disk like a frisbee. They had a proper stone dice with numbers on them. -

The Egyptians had a form of bowling. They also had wrestling, weightlifting, swimming and ball games -

Mayan sports and games
The Mayans played many ball games. Sometimes slaves were held captive. If the slave's team won, they would be set free, however if they lost, they would be a human sacrifice. They also played a game called Pokatok . There is a hoop and a bouncy ball. You have to put the ball through the hoop without using your hands. They mainly used their hips for this sport. -

The Aztecs played the same games as the Mayans. I think this is because both the civilizations were based in the same place. -

The Chinese danced. They also played and early form of polo and football. -

The Greeks had the olympics. They held it in Olympia. It was created to honour Zeus. The olympics had a Pentathlon. This included Javelin, Running, Jumping and Discus. They also did boxing, wrestling and charriot racing -

Romans
The Romans had an early form of Handball, Football, Field Hockey, Catch games and a form of dodge ball. They also had Swimming, Boxing, Wrestling, Jumping, Chariot Racing and Gladiator fights. We play many of these games now. -

Now we play badminton, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, cricket, baseball, t-ball, hockey etc.
