Saw a girl in a wheelchair in the hallways sometimes, I remember making eye contact for the first time and looking away quickly, but then after that I made a point to smile & wave when I saw her -
high school
Saw multiple people with special needs, I think they had their own classroom. They always had someone with them, like an assistant or teacher. I remember wondering what their classroom experience was like & if they were taught differently. -
Starbucks employee
Man in wheelchair was a regular. Once I learned his coffee order, I would make it when I saw him & have it ready when he got to the front of the line.
