Parents sign permission to the IEP team to evaluate their child. -

After Parents Give Permission to Evaluate Their Child
IEP team has 45 calendar days from when parents give permission to evaluate, complete evaluations, and provide parents with written results. -
Evaluation is Completed.
All evaluations are completed and the parents of the child has the written results. -
Meeting to Discuss Evaluation Results
IEP team has 30 days to hold this meeting to discuss the evaluation results. -

Writing an IEP
Once the child is determined to have a disability the IEP has to write an IEP for the child within 30 calendar days. -
Parent Asks for an Extension
When a parent asks for an extension to review their child's IEP. -
Period: to
Extension Granted
The school district and the parents have 30 school days maximum for an extension and must fill out a request form that must be approved in order to do so.
