The begning of the spanish inquisition
The Spanish Inquisition first started in 1478 when Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon wanted to get rid of any non-christians in spain. The Spanish Inquisiton was pretty much torture and religious persecution. Many people believe that Isabellas only reason for doing it was that she made a vow to Thomas de Torquemada, that if she should be on the throne one day she would live her life getting rid of and persecuting any non-christians. -
