Hernando De Soto
In 1524, De Soto went to Nicaragua on an expidition with Francisco De Cordoba, but overthrew him with Pedro Arias de Avila when Cordoba attempted to claim the land for himself.
From 1531 to 1532, he was on an expedition in Peru with Francisco Pizarro, returned to spaine in 1536, and became the govenor of Cuba the next year. Finally, in 1539, he went to find riches on the western coast of Florida, but was killed by natives in 1542. -

Andres De Urdaneta
A man, who accompanied another man named Garcia Jofre de Loaysa when He, De Urdaneta, was only 17, who in 1525, had six sevenths of the original group of ships sink, while the ship that he was on survived. He eventually found a trade route from the Phillipines to mexico in 1565, and it was used extensively by Manila galleons, until it was retired in 1821, due to the Spanish ceasing to rule Mexico. -

Francisco Vasquez de Conando was a ruler, conquestidor, and explorer that looked for the likely ficticious seven golden cities of Cibola. Since all he met was Native Americans, and they couldn't be converted to christians, he apparently decided that mass genocide was the best option. Since he didn't get any gold or silver, his expedition was deemed a failure.
