This is when the shuttle era begins. This was significant because this was a better way to get farther into space. This was an advantage because it could carry more stuff up witch was a technological advace -

This was the first launch in the shuttle program. This was significant because it showed that the technology was right. The problem with the shuttle is that there was a lot that could go wrong. -

The main reason this rocket was an advantage because they had the side rockets land on there own with not pilot.
