Introduction
Welcome to my timeline. My timeline is about ten space technology used in every day life. I hope you enjoy reading it. -
Fire fighter Gear
It was developed by NASA and NBS. It is a lightweight breathing system with a mask, frame, and harness air bottles. -
Freeze Dried Technology
The foods are cooked, quickly frozen, and then slowly heated in a vacuum chamber to remove the ice-crystals formed by the freeze process -
Temper Foam
It was designed by the Ames Research center. It was designed to improve crash protection for airplane passengers. It has unusual properties and is also called memory foam. -
Portable Cordless Vacuums
It was developed by Black & Decker. It was created because NASA needed a portable machine capable of getting core samples from below the lunar surface. -
Invisible Braces
They are very strong braces that are used to straighten teeth and generally do not stain. They don’t need to be changed for adjustments -
Infrared Ear Thermometer
It was developed by Diatek Corporation and NASA. It weighs only 8 ounces and uses infrared astronomy technology to measure the amount of energy emitted by the ear drum. -
Enriched Baby Food
Infant formulas now contain a nutritional enrichment ingredient which can be traced to one of NASA’s research. -
Artificial Limbs
This is made with comfortable materials such as temper foam. The temper foam offers the natural look and feel of flesh as well as preventing friction between the skins. -
Light-Emitting Diodes
They are growing plants in space and are used in healing humans on earth. It has contributed to the development of medical devices -
Chemical Detector
It is made of moisture and pH sensitive sensors to warn of dangerous corrosive conditions before any damage occurs. It uses a specially manufactured optical fiber whose entire length is chemically sensitive. -
