    The challenger was launched on January 28th, in 1986. The shuttle only lasted for one minute and thirteen seconds until the engines failed. It had only traveled eighteen miles. The cold weather was believed to be one of the factors. It was supposed to connect and disconnect to the Spartan satellite.
  • Atlantis/ STS-36

    Atlantis/ STS-36
    STS-36 launched on February 28th and landed on March 4th 1990. On board there was John Creighton, John Casper, Richard Mullane, David Hilmers, and Pierre Thuot. The space shuttle was called Atlantis. It was a success. It traveled 1.9 million miles. We could not find the purpose anywhere.

    STS-41 was launched on October 6th 1990 and it landed on Ocotber 10th 1990. The people on board were Richard Richards, Robert Cabana, William Shepherd, Bruce Melnick, and Thomas Akers. The space shuttle was called discovery. It was a success. It traveled 1.7 million miles. The purpose was to launch the Ulysess as a part of the international solar polar mission.
  • STS-104/ Atlantis

    STS-104/ Atlantis
    Atlantis was launched on July twelth, 2001. It traveled 5.3 million miles with a revolution of two hundred times.The Atlantis was in space for twelve days, eighteen hours, and thirty six minutes. It docked with the ISS satellite.
  • STS-135/ Atlantis

    STS-135/ Atlantis
    The STS-135 was the final mission of the Atantis shuttle. On board were Alexander Samokutyaev, Andrey Borisenko, Ron Garan, Sergei Volkow, Mike Fossum, and Satoshi Furukawa. The shuttle landed on July 21st, 2011. It delivered cargo to the ISS.
