The Canadarm
The Canadarm was launched on Nov 13, 1981. It is a large robotic arm measuring 15.2 meters long and 15 inches in diameter. The Canadarm was made in canada. It has six joints throughout the arm that are remarkably similar to that of a human. It is able to collect payloads of up to 32.1 tons and it is also able to repair objects outside the craft. -
Hubble Space Telescope
The Hubble Space Telescope was carried into space by the international space station in 1990. It is a large telescope that is used to take photos and allow scientists to do further research without sending actual people in to space. -
The Ineternational Space Station
The International Space Station was launched on 1990. This space station has been in space longer than other space station. It can hold 6 people at a time and that is what it currently holds. It allows many different people from different countries which make them work together a bit to make discoveries. -
Mars Pathfinder
The Mars Pathfinder was launched on December 4, 1996. It carried the rover Sojourner and a lander. Mars pathfinder was an American craft that landed on Mars Ares Vallise. -
Spirit
Spirit was launched on June 10, 2003. Its mission duration was only 92 days long. The last contact with Spirit was in 2010. Spirit and its twin Opportunity became some of the first rovers on Mars. -
Oppotunity
Opportunity was launched on July 7, 2003 way later than its twin Spirit. Its mission duration was 92.5 days long but it continues to roam around mars controlled by people in NASA. It’s lived 30 times longer than its original mission.
