Mercury had a few basic flight problems including: The development of an automatic escape system, vehicle control during insertion, behavior of space systems, evaluation of pilots capabilities in space, in flight monitoring, retrofire and reentry maneuvers and landing and recovery.
  • Viking 1

Spacecraft Viking's Primary mission objectives were to search for evidence of life, obtain images of the Martian surface. The results from the Viking experiments give our most complete view of Mars to date. The United States was in charge of Viking 1
  • Voyager 1

The mission objective of the Voyager Interstellar Mission is to widen the exploration of the solar system beyond the neighborhood of the outer planets to the outer limits of the Sun's sphere of influence, and possibly beyond. The United states was in charge of Voyager and Voyager is a spacecraft.
  • International Space Station

The International Space Station is a space station, a artificial satellite in low Earth orbit. the human body can't live in space, engineers needed to study the effects of long-term space living on the human body before astronomers are sent on longer missions. For this reason, the ISS was established. In addition the US in charge of this mission.
  • Mars Pathfinder

Mars Pathfinder was designed to be a demonstration of the technology necessary to deliver a lander and a free-ranging robotic rover to the surface of Mars. Pathfinder has accomplished this goal. Pathfinder is a American spacecraft.
  • Columbia Space Shuttle

Columbia was the first shuttle to reach space, in 1981. The mission had a two-person crew: the commander, John Young, a veteran of Gemini and Apollo, and the pilot, Bob Crippen. The objective was to make sure that Columbia worked well in space.
  • Spirit & Opportunity

Spirit was launched on 10 June 2003 and Opportunity followed on 7 July 2003 they were both space crafts . Over eight years since they landed, and Opportunity is making tracks across the red planet. Other objectives of Opportunity’s ongoing mission include the determination of the distribution and composition of minerals, rocks, and soils surrounding the landing site. The United States launched Spirit & Opportunity.
  • Keplar

Kepler was a spacecraft made by the United States. The scientific objective of the Kepler Mission is to explore the structure and diversity of extrasolar planetary systems.
  • Couriocity

Curiosity's objective was to find out whether Mars could ever supported life, and to study the geology and climate of Mars. The mission will help with future human exploration. In addition it is a spacecraft. The United States was in charge of Curiosity.
