Vostok 6 carries Soviet Cosmonaut Valentia Tereshkova, the first woman in space and orbits the Earth 48 times. Which was 45 more times then John glenn. -
Gemini 7
Gemini 7 is launched carrying Frank Borman and James A. Lovell, Jr., making 206 orbits around Earth. And this trip proved a trip to the Moon possible. -
Soviet Luna 9
Soviet Luna 9 is the first spacecraft to soft-land on the moon. Sent by the USSR. -
Surveyor 1
Surveyor 1 is the first U.S. spacecraft to soft-land on the Moon. This was a very great acheivement. -
Apollo 11
Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin, Jr. make the first man controlled soft landing on the Moon, and the first moonwalk on Apollo 11. This is where the phrase one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind came from. -

Magellan enters the atmosphere of Venus. It burned up ending its mapping mission -
First Jupiter Landing
The Galileo spacecraft lands on Jupiter, which orbits while dropping a probe into the atmosphere, and putting a satellite into orbit, which will spend the next two years orbiting the planet. -
Endeaver
Space Shuttle Endeavour is launched carrying the Raffaello logistics module back to the ISS with new supplies.
