Space and earth formation

  • 14,000 BCE

    Big bang

The Bing bang happened about 14 billion years ago, it give rise to the matter, forms quarks which produced proton and neutron, and electron made to form the first atoms. The atoms are mainly hydrogen and helium.
  • 4600 BCE

    Supernova explosion and planetary accretion

Stars fused hydrogen and helium nuclei to form elements from carbon to calcium. The clouds of hydrogen, helium, dust formed. Near by, a hot star burned. Supernova explosion happened formed heavier elements, it destabilized the cloud causing it to collapse. The gravity flatten the cloud into a rotating disk, at the center of the disk, the molecules crust together tightest, protostar rose up to incredible pressure and temperature.
  • 4599 BCE

    Solar system and earth creation

In the disk, most of the mass concentrated in the middle and formed sun. Smaller mass rotating around the sun and formed planets.
  • 4500 BCE

    Planetary cooling

In the disk, most of the mss concentrated in the middle, and formed the sun. Smaller mass rotating around the sun and formed planets. Earth is cooled and formed a solid curst. As the Earth continue to cool down, volcanoes released gases and form atmosphere which contained ammonia, methane , water vapor, carbon dioxide, and a little of oxygen. The atmosphere became denser, clouds formed rain fell. Perhaps from comets and asteroids that stuck Earth as well, eventually formed the oceans.
  • 4500 BCE

    Core formation

Gravity pulled denser materials into the core of the earth, and lighter elements rose to the surface. The Earth core is mainly iron, and the Earth crust is made mostly of lighter materials. Between core and the crust, is the Earth's mantle.
  • End of the heavy Bombardment and moon formation

The asteroids of the size of Mars smashed into Earth, the huge amount of energy from the impact melted most of the Earth and the asteroid melted too. Materials from Earth and the asteroid was thrown out into orbiting the Earth. Overtime, these materials smashed together to form the moon. moon surface is about 4.5 billion years old, this means that the collision is happened about 70 million years after the Earth was formed
