    It was a large and devastating earthquake which hit Lisbon, which killed 50,000
    People. The city practically had to be rebuilt after the havoc from the destruction. Lisbon use to be Portugal capital and largest city during the 17th century when diamonds and gold
    were up for grabs. The earthquake also affected cities close to the shore with a 20Foot/ 6.1m tsunami hit the areas closely situated.

    On the 1st of April 1946 a large tsunami off the coast of Hawaii killed 159 people.
    The Tsunami was caused by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake triggered
    4000m underneath the sea. The event caused devastating tidal waves which affected
    most of the pacific but in particular Hawaii.

    It was 9:12am the Texas City Port situated in Galveston Bay when there was a massive explosion. The explosion happened on a cargo ship caring explosives on it. Ammonium nitrate being the largest one. It destroyed most of the city and took nearly 600 lives. The town consisted of roughly 18,000 residents and it provided a good community with steady job flow.     Oil Drilling platform collapses
    On 30th March 30 workers from an offshore oil drilling company died after the sea floor they were working on collapses. They were on a platform held up by two large pontoons.This area provided accommodation and a place for workers to resort to after a day workingIt was believed to be 6:30pm, 30 workers were in the theatre watching a movie.Winds were blowing from the North sea and a large wave came and collapsed the platform all 30 Died.

    I was currently part way through grade 5 at corpus Christi catholic school.
    I made the move to Hutchins early so I was able to make some friends.
    Looking back at it now the move was definitely worth while.

    Started Kinder at Corpus Christi catholic school. I was 5 years old. Before I started
    At kinder I had been to kinder cottage which was a preschool. I went there 2 days
    A week.
  • First Rock Lobster

    Caught my first southern rock lobster on a snorkel It was a soft shell and caught in about 4m of water.
    It was a wonderful day on the pristine waters of Maria island
  • Upgraded Our Boat

    Upgraded our boat.
    In 2015 my family (Dad and I)
    Upgraded our Quintrex 560 spirit to more of an offshore unit
    being a 679 ocean ranger. Painted Black, 200hp and all the
    Latest technology it felt like the right decision
  • Played in first AFL Grand Final

    Played in the SJTFL grand final gala day for Clarence football club.
    We played North Hobart football club.
    Unfortunately, we lost by 8 points. The atmosphere
    was great. The pressure was sensational and overall it felt like
    a different game.
  • First rowing Competition

    I competed in my first rowing competition. It was the southern junior rowing comp. It was held at Franklin river which is situated in the south of Tasmania close to huonville
    No one fell in from our age group. I won three races and came second in one.
