The Alphabet
I have a detailed memory of learning how to correctly write the letters of the alphabet and numbers. My teacher would write the letter or number on the board and we would have to try and replicate that on paper. I remember that being one of my favorite things to do. -
Public Library
I've always remember owning a library card that I cherished with my life. I loved the idea of being able to check out any book that I pleased whenever I wanted. -
Hamster Stories
In the second grade my class was introduced to writing paragraphs. The teacher would help us by giving us prompts everyday and allowing us to let our imaginations do the rest. Reading with my Dad
I remember me and my dad would read the same book but with different copies. We would pick out a new book to read every once in a while, and would discuss it with each other at the end of the day. -
Epic!
I just remembered this program that offered tons of free books. It contained online E-books for kids. I loved this website and would beg my mom to let me use it every day. -
Discovering My Favorite Author
As a child, I began reading books by an author by the name of Kate DiCamillo. I read almost every one of her classic books. I read Tale of Despereaux, Because of Winn-Dixie, Tiger Rising, and Edward Tulane. But my all time favorite was Flora and Ulysses! -
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
I remember reading this specific book in 5th grade. As a kid I had a high interest in horror stories and mystery thrillers. This was one of my favorite books in elementary/middle school. -
