  • Japan invades Manchuria

    Japan invades Manchuria
    Japan begins war with China when they invade north eastern China insight of natural reasources.
  • Neutrality Act

    Neutrality Act
    U.S. document that says that the U.S. will stay an isolated country and will not enter the war or interfeir with the war.
  • Italy invades Ethiopia

    Italy invades Ethiopia
    Italy was expanding and it was easy to take over Ethiopia due the the fact that Italy had more modern weapons.
  • Munich Conference

    Munich Conference
    Hitler met with representatives of the heads of state from France, the United Kingdom, and Italy to get controll of Czechoslovakia. The counrties appeased Hilter.
  • Start of World War II

    Start of World War II
    Germany invades Poland breaking the treaty. Germany secretly makes a pact with Russia saying that they are not going to invade but they do.
  • Allied Powers enter WWII

    Allied Powers enter WWII
    Great Britain and France enter World War Two and declare war on Germany and Italy. Soon after this, France will fall.
  • Escape at Dunkirk

    Escape at Dunkirk
    Axis lines invade Dunkirk and French and British run away to the island of Great Britain and use fisherman boats to go across The English Channel.
  • Lend-Lease Act

    Lend-Lease Act
    This bill allowed the U.S. to basically give Great Britain war equipment. This was created after Great Britain could no longer pay for weaponry.
  • Atlantic Charter

    Atlantic Charter
    FDR and Churchill met secretivly in the middle of the Atlantic. Here they shared goals for the war, free trade, and self government.
  • Trouble in Japan

    Trouble in Japan
    Tojo becomes upset with the government in Japan and takes it over as his own. Called himself the Czar of Japan's Government.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    Japanese fighter planes invade Hawaii and drop bomb on the U.S.'s Pacific Harbor. Two fleets attacked and the third one didn't not due to the loss of surprise attack.
  • U.S. Declares War

    U.S. Declares War
    FDR has his famous speech, "Yesterday, December 7th, 1941..." and purposes to the congress to declare war on the Japanese Empire. Later, we will declare war on Japan.
  • War Delcared on U.S.

    War Delcared on U.S.
    Germany and Italy declare war on the U.S. which will pull us into the war. We are now officially apart of the the Allied Powers which include Great Britian and The Soviet Union.
  • Doolittle Raid

    Doolittle Raid
    U.S. is fed up with Japan and the invasion of the Philippines and sends 16 bomber planes over Tokyo and bomb Tokyo. This has very little damage but it proves the point that the U.S. is in this war now and will fight back.
  • D-Day

    101st Airborne parachuted behind enemylines; 150,000 Allied troops carried across theEnglish Channel; Blitzkrieg, Allied style; 10,000 Allied casualties – successful
  • Hitler's Gone

    Hitler's Gone
    Hilter commits suicide by poisioning himself. This in terms dumes the Nazi party.
  • VE Day

    VE Day
    This is the day that is marked as Germany surrendering the war. A great day for the Allied Powers.
  • Hiroshima

    Hiroshima
    Hiroshima was bombed by the atomic bomb nicknamed "Little Boy." This bombing was succesful for the U.S.
  • Nagasaki

    Nagasaki
    This attack, much like Hiroshima, was an atomic bomb dropped on another Japanese city. This bomb was nicknamed "Fat Man."
  • Japan Surrenders

    Japan Surrenders
    Japan surrenders the war shortly after Tojo commints suicide. Japan has finally given up. They sign the documents on the USS Missouri.
