Snapchat was the first mobile app tp provide quick 10 second videos/pictures to be seen and automatically deleates after the other person has seen it and gives you a notification if a person has taking a snapshot of the content. It was created by Bobby Murphy and is very popluar with celebrties updating their "SnapStory" and is popular amoung others as well to send content to friends. -

Created by Dom Hoffman, Rus Yusupov, and Colin Kroll. Vine is a mobile app that allows users to post 6 second videos to their followers. Vine became popular in the middle of 2014, where many "Vine Stars" were made and they became very popular on the app. Vine was bought out by Twitter in October 2012 for $30Million.
