    AIM (which stands for AOL Instant Messenger) was the first platform that really allowed for instant communication online. You were able to set status's to inform your friends of what you were doing, and you could use the platform to chat with anyone anywhere at anytime.

    With 26 million matches a day, Tinder is on of the most popular dating sites in the world. It allows you to "match" with people near by and meet new people. You swipe right if you like somebody, up if you want to "superlike" them or left if you don't want to match. Once you match you can send a message to that person and start a conversation.
