In this piece of social media, you could create a profile, have a status update and reveal your mood. Due to its popularity in 2003, it took a negative turn as they could not deal with the servers. In 2015, Friendster closed the website and on July 1st, 2018 it officially ceased to exist as a company.

    This social media app was the nightmare that Friendsters never wanted! Myspace, which was backed by shareholders of Friendster, was the go-to site for millions of teens. The custom profiles were visible to anyone. By 2005 Myspace was the world's most popular social media site and it is still in use today although it has transitioned away from social networking and gone into music and entertainment.

You request a ride then the driver accepts your request, this happens and the app displays an estimated time of arrival for the driver heading to pick you up.

Weibo became so popular within two years of its launch and had 100 million users by 2012. Weibo, the content is in Chinses so it is difficult for foreigners to use the platform.

WeChat is the most popular social media platform in China and other parts of Asia.

Although they deliver food directly to your door, DoorDash is actually considered a technology company.
