    Lotus-Eaters
    The Locus-Eaters are people who eat the lotus flowers and lose faith to go back home. This flowers were on the coastline and people would eat them. People didn’t return home and didn’t have the urge to return home. These flowers were offered to everyone in the area.Odysseus and his crew came up to the land to lotus eaters. Odysseus already knew about the lotus eaters, so he protected his men. He used his bright skill in war to fight off the lotus eaters. This show of bravery makes his men proud

    Cyclops

    Cyclops
    On Odysseus’s journey back home to Ithaca he had to face Cyclops the One-eyed monster. Odysseus and his crew ran into his cave for another adventure. He wanted to see the cyclops and kill him but he got trapped inside the cave. Odysseus was trapped inside of the cyclops. Instead of killing the Cyclops, Odysseus stabbed him in the eye.

    Cyclops Analysis
    In this situation this shows how Odysseus puts his men in a bad place. He risks the life of his own and his crew to fight Cyclops. This makes is image as leader bad in some way. This shows his selfishness in himself when he do tasks.

    Circe
    Circe is a goddess that has the power to turn anybody to an animal. She has her own island and is guarded with animals that are people. Circe uses her beauty and her flirtatious ways to get what she wants. She is also in love with Odysseus and wants him to be with her.
    Odysseus and his crew landed to Circe's island. Circe wanted to attract Odysseus to relax him in her island. Odysseus and his crew had split up into two. His crew was turned into pigs by Circe due to her beauty and flirty ways.

    The Bag of Wind

    The Bag of Wind
    Aeolus is the ruler of the winds and give Odysseus the bag of wind. The bag of wind is containing all of the winds. Odysseus is traveling back to to home and uses the bag of wind. But Aeolus secretly give him a fortune in gold and silver and the wind escapes out of the bag.
    Odysseus is returning to his home Ithaca and is presented with the bag of wind. When Odysseus uses the bag of wind and the wind escapes and stirs up a storm. Aeolus does nothing to help as the gods hate Odysseus.

    Sirens

    Sirens are dangerous monsters that live in the ocean. The monsters uses enchanting sounds to lure in their prey. Circe warns Odysseus about Sirens and how dangerous they are.Also, they found out that Odysseus and his men were going to face Sirens anyway so, there wasn't any escape.

    Scylla and Charybdis

    Scylla and Charydis was the next challenge to face against Odysseus and his crew. Odysseus learned that he would either have to lose his six men or create a hole to cause a shipwreck to all the ships. He chooses to lose his six men instead but doesn't tell his men. This situation shows how Odysseus feels about his crew.

    Odysseus was faced with another challenge when returning home to Ithaca. Odysseus and his crew had to face Scylla and Charybdis and proposed a deal with Odysseus. Odysseus chose to sacrifice his six men for everyone else's safety.This shows Odysseus's character and how he feels about his crew.

    Odysseus disguises as an old beggar to surprise his family. He notices that the suiters are looking to replace him as a husband. Odysseus plans to kill the suiters with his disguise. After he kills the suiters, he reveals himself to his wife and son.

    Helios Cattle
    Helios was known as a sun god. He has seven herds of oxen and seven flocks of sheep. But Helio’s cattle were dead and he was furious. Lampetie told Heilos that Odysseus’ men had killed his cattle. Heilos ordered the gods to get Odysseus’ men in harms way. Odysseus and his crew get to the island of the sun. Odysseus tries to avoid resting at the island. His crew persuaded him decided to rest at the island of the sun. Eurylochus persuaded other crew members to slaughter Heilos cattle.

    Suiters/Home
    The suiters were men that would go to Penelope’s home to tell her that Odysseus is dead. They did that to try to persuade Penelope n’t want to reveal himself until he killed the suiters. Odysseus was able to kill the suiters and leave Penelope alone. Odysseus finally revealed himself to Penelope and she doesn’t believe him.

    This 10 year war started when the Prince of Troy (Paris) kidnapped Menelaus's wife Helen. Helen was the most beautiful woman of Sparta and everyone wanted to be with her. Menelaus was chosen to be her husband. He was in love with her and didn't want anything to happened to her. When Paris kidnapped Helen, Menelaus was angry and filled with rage and he wanted war against Paris and every citizen of Troy.

    The Trojan War was a 10 year long war that’s occured in Troy. Odysseus was partners with Menelaus in the war. Odysseus was apart of the victory Sparta . This war was important because this war caused the death of Paris.

    Odysseus and his crew were lured into the Sirens island due to the enchanted sounds. This was a test by Sirens to see how brave and mighty Odysseus is. He tied is crew to the flagpole so he can hear the sounds.
